Christine Yardley on Telling Print’s Story

Oct 15, 2026 | PrintPulse Live

People encounter print every day, yet they may know little about the creativity, technical skill, and range of careers behind it. If the industry wants to reach new audiences, it needs ways to make that work easier to see and understand. The challenge is one of visibility and of telling a story people can connect with.

Christine Yardley will bring a creative and communications perspective to the Ontario Printing & Imaging Association’s PrintPulse Live webinar, How to Give Print a PR Makeover: Building a More Inclusive Future for Canadian Print. The online session takes place Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. ET. Christine will join Heather Black and Joanne Gore for a participatory discussion about talent, messaging, and innovation.

A Career Connecting Design, Marketing, and Print

Christine is President of Print Panther Direct and Founder of Christine Yardley Creative and Eat Print Love. Her professional background includes direct marketing, integrated marketing, communications, design, writing, branding, and print. She has also led Trigger Communications and worked as Director of Marketing for First American Title Insurance Company in Canada.

That combination of creative and commercial experience is relevant to the webinar’s central question: how can Canadian print become more visible, better understood, and more attractive to the people it needs next? Christine’s work spans the ideas, materials, and messages that shape how audiences encounter print. It offers a useful lens for considering how the industry presents its value beyond the people who already know it well.

Why Print’s Presentation Matters

Within a print company, it can be easy to assume that the appeal of a finished piece or a sophisticated production process speaks for itself. Someone outside the industry may need more context. They may see a package, sign, book, or campaign without realizing how many creative and technical decisions brought it to life.

For Ontario printers, suppliers, and graphic communications professionals, explaining that work can support more than customer awareness. It can also help prospective employees see where their own interests and abilities might fit. Clearer, more welcoming stories can give students and career changers a reason to explore an industry they had not previously considered.

What Attendees Can Expect

Christine’s participation will help frame the discussion around how print can communicate its creativity and relevance to wider audiences. Alongside Heather’s talent perspective and Joanne’s marketing expertise, her background will contribute to a conversation about making the industry’s story easier to recognize and share.

Attendees will be invited to contribute their own ideas. The aim is to explore how companies and industry partners can work toward a more visible, coordinated, and inclusive future for Canadian print.
