Environment, Health and Safety

We have the best in the industry for environment, health and safety best practices and standards. The OPIA has been an active original member of the WSIB Safety Group for over 17 years. We meet regularly with the government regulators that govern the industry to ensure that the voice of the industry is heard and our members receive the latest most important information to stay competitive.

U-Pak Recycling Ltd., has been a member of the OPIA for over ten years.

We have benefitted tremendously from our involvement in government affairs, committee activities and events. It is worth the investment we have made. It has helped us improve our relationships with our existing clients, secure new business and we never miss the opportunity to participate in the Annual Toronto Golf Classic!

Transcontinental Printing

OPIA has many valued resources. As members we are active on EH&S Committee. This committee has developed a terrific team of health, safety and environmental specialists that support the OPIA members by providing training opportunities to ensure health, safety and environment compliance is achieved.

The exchange of best practices allows the opportunity to pool resources and understanding to improve industry knowledge and standards. OPIA offers us the ability to exchange ideas to ensure the highest standards are met and the regulatory measures can be implemented in more efficient ways.”

Twin City Dwyer Printing

Twin City Dwyer Printing was a seven-person commercial printing company when we first joined OPIA. We are still a small firm but have tripled in size. Owners of small firms wear many hats (sales, marketing, human resources, government liaison, etc.).

OPIA has made wearing many hats easier by putting us in touch with people and programs that help run and grow my business. We have been members for well over twenty years. Over the years, we have gotten to know a great many people through networking within the OPIA. For example, if we are looking at new equipment or if we have a staffing issue we can call any number of peers who are willing to offer advice and knowledge. This is perhaps the greatest “member benefit” of OPIA.

We also have a lot of fun when we get together for OPIA sponsored events.
