Marc Raad on Real Print Automation

May 13, 2026 | Articles

Automation is one of the most discussed opportunities in the print and packaging industry, but for many companies, the real challenge is not understanding what automation could do. It is knowing how to make it work inside the business. That is the focus of the upcoming OPIA PrintPulse Live webinar, What Real Automation Deployment Looks Like in Print, taking place Tuesday, May 26, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. ET.

The session will feature Marc Raad, President of Significans Automation, who will share practical insight into the realities of automation deployment, workflow integration, and change management in print environments.

A Leader in Print Automation and Integration

Marc founded Significans Automation in 2018. The company specializes in customized automated workflows for the printing and packaging industry, helping clients prepare for a future shaped by robotics, artificial intelligence, and more integrated production systems.

Marc brings more than 25 years of graphic arts industry experience, with a background spanning team management, business development, sales, and customer-focused technology implementation. His experience includes leadership and sales roles with companies such as HP, Esko, Punch Graphix International, Consularis.net, and Ultimate Technographics.

Throughout his career, Marc has been a strong advocate for digital transformation in graphic communications. His background includes digital printing, prepress workflows, web-to-print, digital asset management, MIS and ERP systems, data warehousing, variable data printing, CRM, and e-business practices.

Why Marc’s Perspective Matters

Print companies are under pressure to improve efficiency, reduce errors, increase capacity, and respond faster to changing customer needs. Automation can support all of those goals, but only when it is deployed with a clear understanding of people, process, systems, and business objectives.

Marc’s approach is rooted in the belief that automation is not simply a technology purchase. It is a business strategy. His clients know him as someone who invests time in understanding their goals and production realities before recommending a solution. That perspective is especially important for print leaders who want automation to create lasting operational value rather than isolated technical improvements.

What Attendees Can Expect

In this PrintPulse Live session, Marc will help attendees look beyond the promise of automation and focus on execution. The discussion will explore what it takes to move from concept to deployment, including common operational barriers, change management challenges, and the practical realities companies should consider before, during, and after implementation.

For printers, packaging companies, and graphic communications firms considering their next automation investment, Marc’s experience offers a valuable opportunity to learn from real-world deployment work.
